The Iowa Great Lakes Trail, which runs for 25 miles, winds it's way through the entire region. The trail offers local citizens and visitors a not only safe but scenic alternative way to travel. The trail connects to many other smaller trails as well; making your day out even more unforgettable.
The Iowa Great Lakes also is home to many state parks such as; Pillsbury Point, Gull Point, Elinor Bedell, Pikes Point, Trappers Bay, Orleans, and Mini Wakan, As well as multiple wildlife management areas such as Kettleson Hogsback, and the Lakeside Laboratory.
Another great thing about the Iowa Great Lakes is the opportunities for the youth and children. There are a variety of camps available for kids of all ages. Bible camps as well as the popular YMCA. The Iowa Great Lakes is a great place for children to not only make friends, but also to experience good old fashioned fun to it's fullest!
